Pranjali, a GSP program beneficiary from Adgaon, Taluka Khed since 2020, faced hearing loss due to an accident during her youth. Initially, her parents were hesitant to acknowledge her disability, but after two years of continuous counseling and guidance, they agreed to seek medical help. Dr. Vachasundar, an ENT specialist in Chinchwad, learned about Pranjali’s situation and compassionately performed her operation at a reduced cost. The procedure included thorough ear cleaning and a minor eardrum repair. Thanks to this intervention, Pranjali now leads a normal life and is preparing for her 10th standard exams this year

A girl experiencing an identity crisis sought mentoring. She expressed a preference for a boyish demeanor and male friends, which her family disapproved of, causing a rift. Initially, she was to be relocated to an Alandi hostel, but our intervention and counseling sessions with her family led to a change of heart. The mother, in a meeting with the counselor, revealed how her daughter’s behavior had become a source of town gossip, causing immense distress.
We’re now scheduling regular visits to support the girl in her journey of self-discovery and bridge the understanding gap within the family.
